Grassington has many excellent holiday cottages. The village is set in the heart of Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts with ‘The Dales Way’ on the doorstep and many walks leading into the beautiful rolling countryside.
Grassington has a range of high quality shops, tearooms, restaurants and inns and is host to the Grassington Festival in late June and the annual Dickensian weekends in December.
Just 3 miles up the dale is Kilnsey Crag and trout farm, fishing and pony trekking.
Skipton with its medieval castle and bustling market is only a 20 minute drive away. Bolton Abbey by the River Wharfe is also close by. Burnsall is a popular beauty spot. A trip on the scenic Settle to Carlisle Railway over the magnificent Ribblehead viaduct is, for many, the train ride of a lifetime.
