Masham is a Georgian market town in lower Wensleydale. It has some high quality craft shops, an award winning restaurant, tea-rooms & country inns serving local fayre and a superb golf course. Two breweries, Theakston’s & the Black Sheep Brewery, both have Visitor Centres with guided tours. The town has a large cobbled square with an ancient market cross that is home to the weekly markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The town is ideally located for touring the whole of the Yorkshire Dales as well as the North York Moors. Popular visitor attractions are Thorp Perrow Aboretum, Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park, Lightwater Valley & Fountains Abbey. The market towns of Bedale, Leyburn & Ripon are within easy reach of Masham.
